Testimonials from clients and readers
Rokea el-Azhary, MD, PhD (My Seven Years of Silence) - I retired a few years ago from Mayo Clinic after 30 years of work as a dermatologist. For several years I had considered writing about my experience as the focus of a research-related lawsuit with a pharmaceutical firm, which eventually made its way to the US Supreme Court. During this period of 7 years while the lawsuit continued, I was silenced from discussing any of the details with colleagues or even family members, thus the title above. Starting with my notes, I worked, chapter after chapter, describing this drawn out, stressful, and complicated event in my life. It became clear that I was basically going to be on my own if I wanted to get this project finished. By chance we had dinner with our colleague and sailing friend, Dr. Audrey Nelson, who showed us her book, Leading the Way. She described the process and the details of working with Michael Ransom, leading to publication. Michael shortly after enlisted with my book project and over the next several months, methodically dissected the chapters, carefully revised and fact-checked them with me, and then we reconstructed the book, page by page. His background in technical writing was immensely helpful and important for this project as there are many scientific and legal details discussed in the book. His patience and perseverance resulted in the finished product, of which I am immensely proud. I encourage others who are thinking of writing, or have started the process, to strongly consider Michael to expertly bring your project to fruition.
Audrey Aronson Johnson (The Only Woman in the Room) - Mike, my heart is so full of gratitude to you for all you have done for me that I do not know how to adequately thank you. I had been working on my memoir for several years when I learned of you, a professional memoirist. After working with you frequently for two years, my memoir has been completed. You have so many gifts, Mike. You are a master project manager, a talented professional writer, endlessly patient with my story, able to inspire and keep things moving, and knowledgeable of all the steps involved in writing a memoir. The list of your talents goes on and on. Whenever anyone asks me how I managed to get the memoir completed, it has been my joy to highly recommend you. I always indicate that you are the reason I arrived at the finish line. Best of all, you have become a dear, valued friend. Thank you, Mike, from the bottom of my heart.
